FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can hire your services?
Well, whoever wishes to do so. If you like my work and would love to have similar photographs yourself, contact me and we can arrange the details. In general I’m available for all sorts of lifestyle portraiture, pregnancy-related and boudoir photography as well as couple, baby, children and family shoots. Do you do children birthday parties? With pleasure. Baby showers? Of course. Private family weddings or baptisms? That too. If you are planning a larger wedding, take a look at the Čis pocukran website. I am also looking forward to other interesting projects and cooperation.
What’s your style?
The best part of every photoshoot is the unexpected. Each session is unique and it catches you in that certain moment in life and that is why photos are different each time; from person to person; from family to family; which is very exciting. Your photos will be completely different from those of your friend, and believe me; such memories will become more and more valuable through the years, as they will be personal. I love to create photos that are full of pristine emotions, life and connections. My style is very “lifestyle”. Such shoots are very relaxed and spontaneous. I’m always trying to catch these pristine moments… cute little kisses, strong hugs and shy looks, broad grins, smallest of tears, stubborn and playful looks… Of course, this does not mean that I will not help you with a suggestion or a gentle direction at the beginning when you are still a bit shy.
Where should we have our photoshoot?
The right location is the one, where you feel good. In general, your home can be a good starting point. In case you choose a two-location shoot, we can first meet at your home. That way I can capture you while making yummy pancakes for breakfast or jumping on the bed when listening to music. Then we can all go together to the nearby park and all the way to the town coffee shop, or we can go through the woods to a small stream, where we can throw pebbles into the water, spread out the blanket and have a picnic. In general, the location you love is the best choice; be it at the seaside, in city centre or at your place, full of memories. If you need help deciding, I always have an idea or two as well.
Which part of the day is the most perfect to do our photoshoot?
After we agree about a location, we can start to think about the time of the photo shoot, as the optimal time depends on the location. To get the best out of the shoot and for the most magical photos in your personal style, I would suggest the time before the sunset, as I find that the light to be the most beautiful and the most photogenic at that time. The next time of choice is also the early mornings when the sun goes up. Of course it can also depend on the season. In late summer or in winter for example, the ideal hours are different due to shorter days. On the other hand, if the shoot takes place at your home, we can arrange it at any time during the day.
How do I book my session?
I you’d like to do a photoshoot with me, you can contact me at [email protected] and together we will set up a date that will suit you the most. We will talk about your wishes and expectations. If you want, you can write something about yourself (and your family), as this would make it easier for me to get an idea about where and how it would be the most optimal for your shoot to take place; if of course you have not done so yourself.
When should I book a pregnancy-themed session?
When the belly is starting to show through the clothes you wear, could indicate that it is time to set up a session. We will then set the date that will suit us both. It is never too late. The only thing that matters is that you feel comfortable about it.
Which season is the best for a photoshoot in nature?
I can hardly decide for only one of them, as each and every one has its charms and can therefore be viewed as the best one. Each season has something unique. Although I myself most enjoy summer and bare children’s feet, ice cream in one hand and playing in the sea, I find it hard to resist first snowflakes, colourful autumn leaves and cherries blooming in the spring. So, in the end it all comes down to which season you like the most.
What will we be doing during the shoot?
Whatever you like. The only thing that matters here is that you are relaxed and have a good time. You will spend the day in the company of the people you love and all you have to do is to have fun. It’s true that life isn’t always nice and that is why we need memories of happy moments that can lift our mood on days like that.
Do you also take photos of newborn babies?
Of course I do, but my style for such photo shoots is a bit different from those carefully arranged studio photographs. I like to photograph newborn babies in the comfort of your home, where you have everything close by, and it is therefore the most comfortable way for you. The shoot is more relaxed and focused on your bond with the new member of your family, Simple and natural, and especially very life-like. If you would prefer that your baby is sleeping in the photos, then the first 14 days after the birth are the most optimal to do so. But don’t feel sad if you miss these first 14 days, that way the photo shoot will only be a bit livelier. Have some soft, gentle blankest of natural colours at your disposal to cover the baby if needed, some simple clothing which should not be too big. The latter can be white or of any other gentle colour and can have an interesting print.
What should I wear?
The clothes you feel good in and they express your style are always the best choice. Clothes and accessories can add that “extra value” to the photos. Light and transparent materials in which I can capture movement and light are excellent for summer months and warm knitted clothes and long scarves for the winter ones. Jeans is an ever-green material in if you spice all that up with an interesting accessory, the outcome will be awesome. The only thing I would not recommend are big logos on T-shirts that put all the focus on themselves and outfits that go together too much. Patterns and different textures are more than welcome, provided they go together nicely. And I’d also recommend that you have something to change with you.

Where are you from?
I live in the centre of Slovenia, in Trbovlje. I know, I know … nothing exotic. But I very much enjoy travelling to any location in the world to co-create your stories.
What do I need for the session?
If you decide to go for an outside shoot, it’s nice to have some item that you hold dear with you. Be it a soft blanket, a guitar or your child’s favourite toy. A cute hat, bouquet of your favourite flowers, balloons and a picnic basket… Every smallest item can enrich the photos. Oh, and don’t forget about your pets :)!
What happens after the photoshoot?
A day or so after the shoot I will send you a photo or two to satisfy your curiosity. In 3 weeks, I will send you a link to view the online gallery and at least 25 professionally processed photos (depending on the collection). If you opt for a photo-book or any other finished product that will emphasize your photos even more, we will arrange the details. You can view my product selection at my Products’ link: Produkti. Regarding posting of the photos on the website and social media, I would really be glad if you were to agree to that, as this helps me to showcase my work.
